SUMMARY:Sixpence None the Richer
DESCRIPTION:On Sale starts Mon\, Jun 15 ⦁ 10:00am Sixpence None the Richer with Augustana Thu\, Aug 13\, 2026 ⦁ 7:00pm Randy Owen Center Sixpence None the Richer with Augustana Skyrocketed to global fame when “Kiss Me” was released as a single\, Sixpence None the Richer has helped shape the musical landscape across generations and continues to bring their music\, both new and old\, to audiences worldwide. Augustana has been a pivotal artist in the Pop/Rock genre since its ubiquitous\, piano driven hit\, “Boston” was released in 2005. Sixpence None the Richer began taking shape in New Braunfels\, Texas in the early ‘90s\, when guitarist Matt Slocum met vocalist Leigh Nash at a church retreat. The group recorded a demo before eventually signing with R.E.X. Records. Their debut LP\, The Fatherless & the Widow\, appeared in 1993 and their sophomore effort\, 1995’s This Beautiful Mess won a Dove Award and was followed by the Tickets for a Prayer Wheel EP. In 1997\, Sixpence None the Richer released their self-titled album and two years later exploded globally when the track “Kiss Me”\, from that album\, was released as a single. The song has been featured in countless movies and TV shows and catapulted Sixpence None the Richer’s starpower into the mainstream\, earning airplay in more than ten different countries. Accolades continued as the band’s rendition of the La’s “There She Goes” also became a major hit. In fall 2002\, Sixpence None the Richer returned to form with Divine Discontent. The band’s cover of the Crowded House classic “Don’t Dream It’s Over” pushed Sixpence None the Richer’s name back into the charts in early 2003. Although the group quietly disbanded in 2004\, they remained active as individuals and continued to release music periodically\, including the albums Dawn of Grace and Lost in Transition. Fast forward to 2024 and all-original members (Leigh Nash\, Matt Slocum\, Dale Baker\, and Justin Cary) have reunited and are writing and recording new music and preparing for a world tour. As a taste of the new music\, you can hear “The Tide” released in late 2023 as Leigh Nash + Sixpence None The RIcher\, which has already amassed over 2 Million views and streams across platforms. Curb Records is also celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the band’s self-titled (Kiss Me) album by re-releasing it in a collectible vinyl series that also features the new track\, “The Tide”. Sixpence None The Richer has helped shape the musical landscape across generations and are gearing up for an exciting road ahead. Guitarist/songwriter Matt Slocum met vocalist Leigh Nash at a church retreat in the early 1990s. They recorded a demo (which now circulates as The Original Demos) and eventually an album\, The Fatherless and the Widow for R.E.X. Records in 1993. The record featured Chris Dodds (of Slocum’s band Love Coma) on drums. Shortly after the release of the album\, Slocum left Love Coma to pursue Sixpence full time. The band added Tess Wiley (guitar)\, J.J. Plasencio (bass) and Dale Baker (drums) for 1995’s This Beautiful Mess. Both albums were produced by Armand John Petri. In 1997\, the group signed to Steve Taylor’s Squint Entertainment and released a self-titled album\, which slowly began garnering attention from a wider audience. In 1999\, “Kiss Me” was released as a single\, propelling Sixpence into the national pop spotlight. This song was also used in the film ‘She’s All That’. The next year\, the band recorded a cover of The La’s “There She Goes”\, which became their second hit single. This recording was added to the re-release of Sixpence’s self-titled album as a 13th track. The band had a follow up album ready to release\, but Squint Entertainment started to fall apart – leaving the band in limbo for several years. Finally\, Squint Entertainment was taken over by Word Records and that album\, Divine Discontent\, was released in October of 2002. It differed significantly from the first pre-release version of the album that had circulated\, with five songs removed and six added. On February 26\, 2004\, Matt Slocum announced via a letter to CCM Magazine that the group had disbanded. That same year\, Best of was released\, which also collected some of the Divine Discontent outtakes\, and tracks from compilations. Matt Slocum has started a new band\, the Astronaut Pushers which released their debut EP in 2005. Leigh Nash released her debut Solo Album Blue On Blue on 15 August 2006 on her personal label\, One Son Records. The first single\, My Idea of Heaven\, was released to USA radio the week of 14 July 2006. In November 2007\, Leigh and Matt met over coffee and positively discussed the reuniting of Sixpence.

SUMMARY:Drake White at Oxford Performing Arts Center
DESCRIPTION:Drake White doesn’t just sing. He testifies. The Alabama-born singer-songwriter delivers Livin’ the Dream and It Feels Good with a preacher’s conviction and an open heart\, blending Southern rock\, country\, and gospel into something entirely his own. After surviving a complex brain procedure in 2017\, his music carries even more weight. A man who came back from the edge and kept singing\, louder and truer than before. You feel every word.

SUMMARY:Hank Williams IV & The Lost Highway Band: Roadside Grill With Hank 4 live
DESCRIPTION:Meet Hank Williams IV—or as some call him\, Ricky Fitzgearld—but let’s be real\, “The Black Sheep” of country music’s most legendary bloodline sounds way cooler. The world may not have fully uncovered his story yet\, but make no mistake—his DNA practically yells in a Southern drawl. The raw grit of Hank Sr.\, the outlaw fire of Hank Jr.\, and now\, Hank IV? He’s got the best of both worlds\, and he’s not here to ask for permission. \nWhen he steps on stage\, it’s not just music—it’s a resurrection of country’s golden days\, a sound passed down through generations\, echoing from honky-tonks to arenas. Singing the anthems of his legendary grandfather and father\, he doesn’t just honor tradition—he sets it ablaze with his own rebel soul. \nAnd let’s get one thing straight: Hank IV isn’t riding coattails—he’s cutting his own trail through the dirt roads of country music\, and fans can’t get enough. The Williams name ain’t just a legacy—it’s a living\, breathing force in country music. And trust me\, Hank IV is making sure that tradition stays alive\, loud\, and damn proud.

SUMMARY:Lonestar at Oxford Performing Arts Center
DESCRIPTION:Amazed became the first country song to spend eight consecutive weeks at number one in 1999\, and it’s been playing at weddings ever since. But Lonestar’s catalog runs much deeper. I’m Already There\, Come Cryin’ to Me\, Smile are anthems of love and longing that this Nashville quartet delivers with harmony-rich warmth and the kind of emotional sincerity that never goes out of style. Their music doesn’t just sound good. It feels right.

SUMMARY:Jefferson Starship at Oxford Performing Arts Center
DESCRIPTION:Paul Kantner founded Jefferson Airplane in 1965. The Airplane were the biggest rock group in America during the 1960s and the first San Francisco band to sign a major record deal\, paving the way for other legends like Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. They headlined the original Woodstock Festival in 1969 and\, like The Beatles with whom they are critically compared\, lasted a mere 7 years\, though their influence and impact on rock music continues well into the 21st century. In 1974 Mr. Kantner created Jefferson Starship and again enjoyed chart-topping success. Paul and Jefferson Airplane were inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1996\, the same year as Pink Floyd. Jefferson Starship\, the name created by Kantner for his 1971 solo debut “Blows Against The Empire” recording\, has endured 40 years as one of rock’s most legendary bands. That recording was the first and only to ever be nominated for literary science fiction’s Hugo Award … a stellar achievement.

Co- founder David Freiberg also started the legendary Quicksilver Messenger Service\, the Fillmore era San Francisco band who often shared the bill with the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane. David is a world famous singer\, producer\, composer and multi-instrumentalist. He was also a member of Jefferson Airplane\, and co- wrote one of Jefferson Starship’s all-time biggest hits\, “Jane” – which he performs. Donny Baldwin became part of the San Francisco music scene in the early 70s. From 1973 to 1978 Donny was with the Elvin Bishop Band. During this time he toured and recorded six albums\, which included the #1 hit single\, “Fooled Around and Fell In Love”. Donny was a member of Jefferson Starship from 1981 to 1989 and rejoined in 2008. In January 1994\, he joined the Jerry Garcia Band. He has toured\, recorded and played with Artists such as Kenny Logins\, Pablo Cruise\, Chuck Berry\, Van Morrison\, Ronnie Montrose\, Greg Allman\, Heart\, Lydia Pense & Cold Blood\, 38 Special and Eddie Money. Chris Smith joined Jefferson Starship in 1998\, instantly winning the job of keyboardist\, having toured with The Supremes and Lou Bega. Chris has gone on to place music in film and television including the #1 rated series “CSI.” In 2000 he assumed the seeming impossible task of playing piano and (synth) bass simultaneously … a feat only duplicated by the legendary Ray Manzarek of the Doors. Chris has been keyboardist longer than any in the band’s fabled history. Cathy Richardson joined Jefferson Starship in 2008\, and anchors the historic ‘role’ made famous by Grace Slick. She is an award winning music artist\, graphic artist\, and clothing designer. Her professional credits include fronting her own successful rock band\, producing and releasing seven albums on various indie record labels. She was nominated for a GRAMMY Award for Art Direction of her band’s 2003 release\, “The Road to Bliss\,” which also received two DIY Awards (Do It Yourself in Film\, Books and Music) for Album Art of the Year and Producer of the Year. Her latest release\, “Delusions of Grandeur\,” topped the 2007 DIYs when she won both Album and Producer of the Year. She portrayed Janis Joplin in the original Off Broadway cast of the hit show “Love\, Janis” and also in Chicago\, Sag Harbor\, NY\, San Francisco\, Phoenix and Tucson. Jude Gold is an acclaimed lead guitarist – joining in 2012 for a 10 country\, three- month international tour – replacing longtime lead player Slick Aguilar who recently underwent a liver transplant. Jude also toured with contemporary stars Miguel Migs\, Stu Hamm and JGB. He is also a instructor at the acclaimed Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles.

SUMMARY:Blackhawk at Oxford Performing Arts Center
DESCRIPTION:In the mid-90s\, BlackHawk was the sound of country radio at its most soulful. Goodbye Says It All\, Every Once in a While\, I Sure Can Smell the Rain were not just hits; they were mood\, atmosphere\, and three voices braided together with uncommon natural ease. Henry Paul\, Van Stephenson\, and Dave Robbins built something rare: a trio where every voice mattered and every harmony landed. Their music holds up beautifully.
