SUMMARY:Half Naked Half Marathon - Presented by Anniston Runners Club
DESCRIPTION:Can you run half-naked in the cold January air? While we certainly don’t expect this of everyone\, this “stripped down” format for the race was tied to its humble beginnings\, and it has evolved and grown since then. All half marathon finishers will receive a finisher medal. All quarter and half marathon runners will receive a long-sleeve t-shirt! It is quite the accomplishment to complete a HALF MARATHON! This year\, both the half and quarter marathons WILL BE CHIP TIMED! The half marathon course is certified and will count as an official time. AGE GROUP awards will be given for BOTH races (distributed by 10-year age group). \n13.1 mile out and back course \nCourse closes at 11 a.m. Anyone on the course after this time is “on their own”. \n**A $3.00 discount for Anniston Runners Club and Gadsden Runners Club members.  Discount does not apply towards Fab Four Series Bundle price.

All proceeds from this event will directly support the Alabama Warriors\, the adult goalball team based at E. H. Gentry\, a division of Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB). \nGoalball is a unique and competitive team sport designed specifically for athletes who are blind or visually impaired. Using a ball embedded with bells\, players rely on sound\, communication\, and teamwork to defend their goal and score against their opponents. It’s a fast-paced\, inspiring sport that builds confidence\, strength\, and community. \nYour participation will help the Alabama Warriors thrive by funding essential needs such as uniforms\, athletic shoes\, travel expenses for tournaments\, and equipment for practice and training.
